The OT is a National Recreation Trail for hikers that stretches almost 222 miles across one of Arkansas & Oklahoma’s most scenic regions, the Ouachita Mountains. Our three-part topographic Backcountry Maps, Thru-Hiker & Single-Track Series, covers this area in dramatic detail from the highest and rugged peaks in the west to gently rolling hills in the east. These are the only recreationally focused topographic maps available for purchase that cover the Ouachita National Forest in Arkansas & Oklahoma. So no matter what section of the OT you want to hike, bike or explore, you now have the perfect maps to make it possible.
Ouachita Trail Eastern (Map 3 of 3)
This map covers the final section of the OT, which ends roughly 15 miles from Little Rock, AR. There are approximately 69 trail miles of the OT from Highway 7 to Pinnacle Mountain State Park. There are also 50 miles of multi-use trails in Bear Creek and almost 15 miles of biking trails at Wildcat Mountain. We’ve also included a large inset of Pinnacle Mountain State Park that shows all of their various-use trails.
This section of the OT remains in the Ouachita National Forest for 31 miles, dissecting the Flatside Wilderness area before traversing Flatside Pinnacle, one of the most photogenic spots on the trail. Once out of the National Forest, the trail crosses private lands and winds its way around Lake Maumelle over gently rolling hills to Pinnacle Mountain State Park.
Duplexed map printed on 4.2 mil HopSyn waterproof/tearproof paper that includes GPS data for trailheads, trail mileage, trail profiles, campsites/shelters, scenic views, points of interest, waterfalls, and much, much more.
