Join Pack Rat for a full day of traditional climbing with an AMGA-certified instructor.
When: April 3, 7:00am - 6:00 pm
People who have been lead climbing outdoors for over 1 year, are comfortable leading 5.8 sport, and want to learn how to properly place and lead climb on traditional climbing gear. Instruction on what traditional climbing gear is and how to place it properly.
Equipment Participant is REQUIRED to bring:
Climbing rope (60+ meters) Harness, Climbing shoes, Chalk Bag, an ATC with a locking carabiner, 2-3 Double length slings (120cm/48in), 21ft of 7mm Cord, minimum of 4 locking carabiners
Equipment Participant is ENCOURAGED to bring:
Trad rack from .3 - #4 & stoppers or any trad gear you already own. (IF you already have them, don’t buy them just for this clinic we will have racks for you to borrow), assisted braking belay device, 6 quickdraws, 6 alpine draws, or any other outdoor climbing gear they have and want to learn more about.
