Events

While we host a variety of events year round from Goat Yoga to scientific presentations, we have five main flagship events.

   1. Pint Night Series:
Our Pint Night Series is held on Pack Rat store property, with two seasons: Spring and Fall. Each night plays benefactor to a different local non-profit with 100% of the profits donated. There's live music, dinner, brews, and giveaways from a sponsoring representative. It's $10 general admission, $5 for minors.

   2. Brewha Bushwhack & Boondoggle:
The Brewha is a two-sided event held at Byrd's Adventure Center the first weekend of April. The Bushwhack is a primitive skills team race for points, not time. Participants will undergo challenges such as fire building, plant identification, and map orientation. Prizes awarded to winners and nominated teams. The Boondoggle is the festival side complete with tons of outdoor vendors, local non-profits, live music, food, and giveaways for attendees. The night ends with brews from a variety of local breweries. You do not have to compete in the Bushwhack to attend the Boondoggle. Prices vary. For more information go to www.brewhabushwhack.com

   3. Rug Rat Day
Rug Rat Day is our completely free adventure day for kids. We host a variety of  activities such as stand up paddle boarding and a monkey bridge, to arts and crafts and face painting, even wildlife for interaction! It's a family friendly event for the community to enjoy and for kids to play and learn. Held on Pack Rat store property, must sign a waiver to participate.

   4. Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour is a national Film Festival from the South Yuba River Citizens League. Pack Rat is the host for this amazing tour every Fall. Watch films from across the globe that inspire, educate, and advocate the protection, preservation, or enjoyment of the natural world. We have live music before and during intermission; as well as a silent auction, local and shoppable art gallery, brews, and food all from local vendors, and of course, giveaways from our sponsoring outdoor retailers. A portion of the proceeds go towards a selected, rotating non-profit.

   5. Climbers Rendezvous
This event is to promote and grow the climbing community of Northwest Arkansas. Live music, brews, dinner, and tons of giveaways from our major climbing brands. All proceeds fund the Blake Croxdale Climbing Grant which is the heart and soul of the Climbers Rendezvous. The winners of the grant receive funds to help facilitate a climbing trip of their choice. Winners of the grant present their trip at the next year's Rendezvous to inspire and encourage other local climbers.

More than anything, we believe in this community. While we are a retail shop, our goals extend beyond selling quality equipment. We want to provide opportunities for people to bond, for outdoor skills to sharpen, for new recreational passions to grow, for outdoor education to be accessible, and for like minds to meet and develop long-lasting relationships. Through our events we, as a community, are able to foster local non-profits, clubs, trail and park maintenance, and even other local businesses. NWA is our home and the Ozarks, our backyard.

Please visit the Events Page to sign up and learn more about current events. This page will be updated with most recent information regarding events, but you can also get more information if you follow us on Facebook or Instagram.
